Tegan & Sara released their new album yesterday. It seems to have a real different sound than So Jealous. The Con is more of a dark purple whereas So Jealous is a medium red. It reaches a little deeper into you, makes a little knot somewhere in your stomach.
In other words, I'm going to get to every one of their shows that I can. Mostly because they are so adorable and Canadian. (And Canadians are generally better. I blame Alanis Morissette and Joey Comeau for this reputation.) I'm hoping for acoustic versions soon.
In a half-hearted effort to pack for college, I have tried to narrow my book collection to a travel-sized library. It is not easy. It feels like I am leaving friends behind. Albeit, stolen weak-spined dusty friends, but still not easy.
My mom reassured me, though. "When you’re deciding what stuff to bring, don't worry. I can always bring you stuff so that I get to see you and meet your new friends..." She is cute.
(E-mails at work are the grown-up version of napkin-notes in my lunchbox.)
